Today is National Bourbon Day, so here’s a guide to South Florida’s bourbon bars

Here are some places with bourbon specials going on for National Bourbon Day.

Wait, you didn’t know that Friday, June 14 was a holiday? Well it is. Granted, federal workers won’t have off and banks will still be opened, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t celebrate — after all, it is Friday and that alone should count for something.

So in addition to checking out the photo gallery above, here’s a list of a few places in South Florida where you can have a bourbon ball (see what we did there?).

American Craft Aleworks

This brewery and gastropub will put the focus on their Da Plane Boss…Da Plane cocktail ($13), which is made with Maker’s Mark bourbon, Nonino Amaro, Aperol, Re’al passion fruit, lemon juice and Peychaud’s bitters.

Casa Sensei

This pan-Asian, Latin-fusion restaurant (with a little Southern comfort food thrown in for good measure) will offer a Kentucky Sake ($12) made with Noble Oak Bourbon, Joto Yuzu Sake, ginger liqueur and Free Brothers Plum Bitters.

City Cellar Wine Bar and Grill

City Cellar in Rosemary Square (formerly CityPlace) will serve cocktails such as the Bourbon Mule ($10), made with Larceny Bourbon, house-made ginger soda and Meyer lemon-simple syrup, as well as the Cellar Old Fashioned ($10), made with Slow and Low Rye Whiskey, orange zest, Angostura and cherry bitters.

This gastropub known for its craft cocktails will feature half-priced Old Fashioneds ($6) from 4 p.m.-2 a.m.

The Diplomat Beach Resort

Both the resort’s indoor-outdoor Hotel Bar and steakhouse Diplomat Prime will have traditional cocktails made with Maker’s 46 bourbon, such as Old Fashioneds and Manhattans (both $15).

NYY Steak at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek

The casino’s steakhouse will offer a Bone In NY cocktail ($20), which will be made with Hudson Baby Bourbon Whiskey infused with bone marrow, lime juice, white pepper corn syrup, Angostura bitters, nutmeg and a torched bone garnish.

This hidden speakeasy on the second floor of the Seek + Find Kitchen and Bar will have a menu of 10 different Old Fashioneds ($12-$17), including the bar’s signature drink, the RM25, made with Woodford Reserve bourbon, sugar, Angostura and Regan’s orange bitters and orange zest.

Serafina Miami

This Italian restaurant on the upper level of Aventura Mall’s new wing will be serving half-priced Old Fashioneds ($6) all day long.

Shooters Waterfront

This Intracoastal icon will serve its signature Bourbon Smash ($12) cocktail, which is made with Maker’s Mark bourbon, lemon, raspberry, mint and topped with powdered sugar.

The Tony Roma’s restaurants in West Palm Beach and Sunny Isles will have the Jack Daniel’s Lemonade ($11) to help introduce the new BBQ rib dishes now on the menu, including Tony’s BBQ Trio of baby back ribs that comes with a choice of BBQ chicken or pork as well as BBQ Baby Back Rib Flatbread.
