MIAMI, FL — Cinco de Mayo may be on Sunday but there's plenty of Miami events all weekend long that will have you saying una mas around South Florida.

Sophie’s
This chic South Beach club will be featuring La Papaya de Mayo on Cinco de Mayo, a refreshing cocktail with a Mexican Riviera vibe by David Cedeno. The ingredients include Papaya infused white tequila, Habanero spice, fresh squeezed lemon juice, agave syrup and papaya slices for garnish. Sophie's is located at 814 1st St. in Miami Beach.

The Wynwood Yard

This local favorite bids hasta luego to the Magic City on Cinco de Mayo with YardFest, a three-day extravaganza from Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5. The venue will be offering $5 house margaritas, salted watermelon margaritas and pomegranate margaritas, all day in Wynwood and at all Florida locations on May 5. Xperimento, Spam Allstars and Locos por Juana will headline the weekend and local gems, including JUke, Shira Lee + The Space Cowboys, Emilia Garth, Jahzel Dotel, Electric Kif, Juanabe, Young Musicians Unite, Anabel & Mounir, Ameyal, State Of and Nag Champayons will rock the Simple Vodka stage for the entire community to enjoy free, along with DJs and a special edition of Miami’s hottest Caribbean festival, Wyncarib. Diez y Seis

Join Skybar at Shore Club for a very special Cinco de Mayo celebration that will double as Diez y Seis’ highly-anticipated One Year Anniversary party. From 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests can kick back on the lounge sofas at Skybar while indulging in a selection of Diez y Seis’ signature tacos, cheese quesadillas and red velvet churros, all of which will be available for only $3 each. Guac this way and dig into some delicious house-made guacamole for only $4, while also sipping on $5 pilsners and $10 margaritas and frozitas. And you already know, it wouldn’t be considered a true fiesta without a live mariachi band present, which is why guests will get to listen to the best mariachi beats in town before DJ extraordinaire Damaged Goods hops on the turntables. Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co.

The venue is hosting a very special Cinco de Mayo party with live music by Jorge Moreno and free tacos. Yes, you read that right. Free tacos will be served during Sweet Liberty’s Taco Bar Happy Hour’ from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. because no one ever asked for just one taco. Tequila specials will also be offered all day/night long. Guests will get to listen to the best mariachi beats in town from a live mariachi band. Grammy winner Jorge Moreno and his band will take residence inside this local hot spot from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sweet Liberty’s regular brunch menu will also be offered from noon to 5 p.m. for those Sunday brunchers who want to start their Cinco de Mayo festivities with some of the best chicken and waffles in town. The Taco Stand

Craving tacos this Cinco de Mayo but don’t want to break the bank? The Taco Stand offers the perfect solution this Cinco de Mayo. Enjoy affordable-yet-delicious Taco Tuesday specials all day long, including $2.50 grilled chicken tacos, Al Pastor tacos, veggie nopal tacos, and more as well as $3 cervezas. It’s time to #WitnessCinco at Rocco’s Tacos. Tequila expert and bar-top-dancing restaurateur, Rocco Mangel, is preparing for the biggest party of the year, Cinco de Mayo. Kicking off at 11 a.m., guests can enjoy incredible drink specials, signature bites, DJs, live entertainment by Suenalo and of course free tequila pourings by Rocco himself. What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo than with tequila. In honor of the holiday, Doc B's Restaurant + Bar will be offering half off all tequila drinks. Whether you take it straight up or prefer your Avion mixed into the restaurant's signature cocktail, The Internal Affair (tequila, jalapeño, pineapple, basil), Doc B's is slashing tequila prices in half in celebration of Mexico. M House

M House, the chic coastal European restaurant in Coral Gables, is extending its beloved happy hour with half priced drinks all-day long to celebrate CincoDe Mayo on Sunday, May 5. For a dockside experience on Cinco de Mayo, check out Shooters Waterfront in Fort Lauderdale. Casa Sensei

For a little Latin and Asian fusion this Cinco de Mayo, head to Casa Sensei, Fort Lauderdale’s newest waterfront eatery. If you are looking for a kick, try the Dragon Margarita, a spicy combination of Avion Tequila, Thai chile peppers, blood orange puree, yuzu juice, orange bitters and spiced rum.

Seek and Find

At Seek and Find, the newest vibe dining concept in Coral Gables, grab some classic tacos and margaritas with the signature Seek and Find twist. This Cinco de Mayo, the eatery is offering a taco and margarita combo for $14, so you can celebrate Cinco without hurting your wallet in the process. Try the Gunsmoke Margarita this Cinco de Drinko, a flavorful combination of Cazadores reposado tequila, Mezcal de joven, lime juice, cointreau, chickpea, Applewood and Black lava salt. In addition, the Day of the Dragon cocktail includes Casamigos Ańejo, dragon fruit purée, grand marnier, orange juice, lemon juice, agave and spicy margarita salt.

The Keys Collection

The Keys Collection, a group of four hotels in Key West, is hosting a Tacos & Tequila Party at 24 North’s Toasted Coconut from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. poolside. Guests will enjoy live music and a two,taco and tequila sampler flight for $20.

Kitchen 305 at The Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort

This Cinco de Mayo, celebrate along the ocean at Kitchen 305 at the Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort. Sip the Sin-U-Rita, a flavorful combination of Casa Noble Crystal, Sauza, cucumber chile, lime and agave.

Villa Azur

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in style at Villa Azur, Miami’s most elegant and trendiest dining experience that combines fine food, music and entertainment into one. Add a little spice to your day with the Azur 309 Margarita ($16) made with Avion Silver, lime juice, Agave Nectar Cointreau infused with fresh jalapeño and rimmed with black lava salt.

La Cerveceria de Barrio

La Cerveceria de Barrio is the perfect spot to fiesta for Cinco de Mayo on Lincoln Road or Ocean Drive. The restaurant will transport guests to Mexico with its luchador-themed party including food and drink specials, live entertainment and mariachis. With over 100 mezcals, 300 tequilas and 100 different beers, the restaurant will also be offering FREE El Jimador mini margaritas shots all day long along with select margaritas for $6.95. Mariachis will keep the energy alive with lively performances.

National Hotel

Spend Cinco de Mayo sitting poolside at the National Hotel’s Aqua Club and Lounge, which features the longest infinity edge pool in Miami Beach. Guests can expect a fiesta filled with piñatas, Casa Noble tequila specials, and live music by the Fox Brothers from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Verde

Verde, Miami’s only full-service museum restaurant located in the Pérez Art Museum Miami, is the perfect location to celebrate Cinco de Mayo while enjoying current exhibits and astounding views of Biscayne Bay. The restaurant will offer $10 specialty cocktails for the weekend, including the Verde Spicy Margarita, Summer Thyme cocktail, and Mint Julep; along with Chilaquiles.

AQ Bar

For those looking to celebrate a more intimate Cinco de Mayo, AQ bar showcases stylish interiors and hand-crafted cocktails that will leave you with a five-star experience. This elegant bar will be featuring its Spicy Passion cocktail ($16) comprised of tequila, Cointreau, passion fruit, jalapeno, basil and lemon.

Beaker & Gray

This Cinco de Mayo, Beaker & Gray will be throwing it back with an original cocktail dating back to before the bar opened. Created by Bar Director Ben Potts, the Wynwood hotspot will offer Tamarind Agua Fresca ($12), made with Don Julio Blanco, Cointreau, tamarind and tangerine. To complement the refreshingly tequila-forward drink and help keep the party going, Chef Brian Nasajon has created a Steak Chalupa that will be offered from 6 p.m. until close. As part of “The Art of Arts Series,” a rotational celebration of art featuring three distinct artists from Brazil, Montreal and Key Biscayne hosted at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami this May, Cantina Beach will be throwing an over the top “The Art of Mexico: Cinco de Mayo” poolside soiree. On Saturday, May 4 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. meet and mingle with Mexican artist Fernando Chamarelli and be the first to see his newest piece honoring the Mexican culture. Enjoy Mexican street fair food stations, entertainment, DJ, stilt walkers, artist displays and pieces for sale. Food and beverage items are priced between $5 and $10. CORSAIR Kitchen & Bar

The American-inspired kitchen and bar offering contemporary comfort food will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a Mexican inspired brunch both Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5. In lieu of the Bloody Mary bar, Corsair will offer guests a Michelada bar to keep the fiesta going all day long. For Cinco de Mayo, Applebee’s brought back its iconic $1 Neighborhood Drink of the Month that started all the fun. The DOLLARITA is back to honor the holiday. The great thing about this drink (aside from the fact that is only $1) is that even after Cinco ends, you can celebrate all month because the drink is available until the end of May. Served in a 10-ounce mug with tequila and a classic margarita mix, the delicious drink is only $1. There’s no question why Applebee’s brought this one back and that’s not the tequila talking.
